has made me sway back and forth about getting a tumblr or not and well, 

single posts of pretty pictures and hundreds of little likes and notes,

have turned me...

so HOORAYYYY for Tumblr!

recipe for a perfect weekend

HAPPY OCTOBER!

It's finally friday, currently raining, thundering and lighting like CRAZY! Super loud rumbling and house shaking is a little scary but here are some recipes that should make you feel a bit more cozy on a rainy day like this!

* * * Baked Apple Chips with Brown Sugar * * *

This week i've been blog browsing for good fall recipes and i finally found one! I used this recipe here and even though it took three hours, the chips are really yummy and warm,

like the good warm you want in a cold fall season! they're good to eat during a movie if your already getting sick of popcorn :)

* * * Home Made MARSHMALLOWS * * *

this one is sort of a yummy science experiment and fun to do when you realize your store bought marshmallows went stale or are all gone :( 

Here is the delicious recipe and once they're done setting, dust them with a good helping of powdered sugar then toss a couple into a yummy cup of hot coco and sprinkle with cinnamon! I've made these a few times and used them for s'mores and hot coco. They also go over GREAT during Christmas (especially when you add peppermint extract  and little swirls of red food coloring!) 

In addition to these yummy movie time snacks, here are some great movies to watch!

1. CHARLIE BARTLETT

Anton Yelchin, Kat Dennings and Robert Downey Jr. are the perfect cast for this story being told about a rich kid with a knack for prescribing pills and being a total bad ass in a sweet and totally cool way. Anton is the perfect Charlie Bartlett, enough said.

2. PLEASANTVILLE

The babyfaced Tobey Maguire and Sweet Home Alabama star Reese Witherspoon, make a perfect brother and sister duo in this movie about two kids who find themselves living in the 1950's and watch radical changes happen right before their eyes. The song Across the Universe by Fiona Apple is just mystical and one you will absolutely love!

 

3. ALOT LIKE LOVE

Ashton Kutcher & Amanda Peet make for a great love story.

Watch it and i swear you'll feel all cozy and happy inside! :)

are very pretty! if you're excited about this fall trend i urge you to go buy a nice purple or plum shade for the cozy fall or if you're on the fence about wether to commit, checkout some inexpensive lip loss in a shade like Queen of Africa by NYX Cosmetics (usually available at drugstores).

ANNA SUI

makes beautiful clothes and creates trends that most women are naturally drawn to, am i correct? the pretty pictures (from the Falls Fashion Show) above speak for themselves.

but i would love to hear your thoughts on her style or any fall trend you're super loving right now!

Also i've been watching the show Vanguard on Current T.V. and besides the documentaries on drug trafficking and drug addicts, i'm really loving the song they use for the commercial for the show... take a listen, you might like it and the show too?

YAY for yummy, delicious, and pretty foods!

I totally love the mini kitty pizzas, & s'mores cookies. Next time i have people over, i really hope i get to try to make these or something from my awesome Food Network Magazine! The animal cookies and Ring Pops totally remind me of childhood and saturday morning cartoon watching :)

I hope everybody is enjoying the hot weather, hopefully it will be gone soon and so the chill fall will REALLY be here!

She looks so beautiful and sweet doesn't she?

I am so excited for today, not to mention so nervous!

(At least last time i was prepared with something to say!) Going in there not knowing exactly what the judges are going to ask me sort of gives me this adrenaline rush! Anyway i wish luck to all the other 199 girls trying out and whoever makes it deserves it!

This is my favorite song of all time, and i sang it last night due to the insomnia i had just thinking about what today will bring!

Have You Ever Thrown a Fist Full of Glitter in the Air?

This has been a whirlwind week,

and I am so excited for The Royal Ball tonight! Every girl who tried out for the Rose Court was invited and i can't wait to see all the gorgeous dresses and beautiful young women and their dashing dates. I'll be taking one my of my best friends to the ball and we plan to have an amazing time! For anyone going tonight i hope to see you there!

Also the girls who made it to quarter finals are going back to the Pasadena Rose Tournament of Roses House tomorrow (me too)! I was so excited and honestly caught off guard when i got the email that i made it to the next round. I am so very thankful and super excited though! So Whatever happens, happens and so far its been amazing and i am actually very proud of myself and of all the other girls who tried out! YAY for Rose Court tryouts!

the feelings i've been having this week are unexplainable, 

but if i would have to pick a song to describe that little moment you feel at night when you know something good (like luck) was just sent to you, it would probably be this graceful and beautiful song, sung by P!nk

Lately

Alright so these are what i've been working on lately.

the first one was created out of anger and frustration that i was doing horrible in my art class, and my teacher ended up loving this piece, go figure. i felt i put more anger than effort into this piece but whatever it worked.

(also look for the FOX or KOALA BEAR!)

After my portfolio review, i put this girl piece down on my pile of artwork and realized, it kinda looked good with that colorful piece as the background. i showed it to my teacher again, and she really loved it... :) YAY - GOOD DAY IN ART

the last two pieces are fixed still life's i have been meaning to post, so there they are

ALSO: GOSSIP GIRL WAS INTENSE!

i loved it though... except for that one sketchy girl who is using Nate to get back at Serena for something..? 

I have 2 theories about her:

1. She's a pissed off girl Serena doesn't remember from boarding school who's finally going to get back at her: in college?

2. She and Georgina are working together because they have some baby daddy in common or something and Georgina is just plain evil so she's going to ruin everyone in the GG cast's lives...
