Pat McGrath has inspired me on many occasions. i have loved watching those MOD-TV videos on iTunes where they show all the countless shows she does for many fabulous designers. the beautiful, imaginative and one of a kind makeup stylings that only Pat McGrath herself can create are just wonders to see. the models whom she makeups gracefully walk the runways with faces ranging from toned down beautiful neutrals to bright cheery and exotic faces full of color or even her signature dark and mysterious sexy smoky eye. i totally am in love with her artwork and i really would love to use some sort of "makeup-texture and mediums" as my theme for AP art. i've finally focused in on my theme and i would for sure stick to this one.

PROJECT RUNWAY THURSDAY:)

first off, Project Runway Season 8 is off to a great start. they've already said goodbye to the guy i liked the least, Jason (Bowler Hat dude) and the rest of the group's outfits have been looking soooo-totally-amazing! i wish i had the skills to make garments like that. also wasn't Valerie's paper napkin dress just to die for?! & i loved Andy's insane ribbon work for that stunner black leathery looking dress!

my favorite designers so far are 

Andy + Valerie + A.J. + Mondo + Michael

(casanova is hilarious and i even find his little stunts kinda cute but i'm sure the judges are getting tired of it)

 So this is my question to you

who's your favorite and what garment from the show do you wish you had hanging in your closet right now?

Side Note: senior year is feeling good, my schedule is  awesome, AP art class looks promising and turning 18 the day after i graduate will just make this year even MORE INSANE!

Summer Memories
1. the last summer i'll get to act like these guys without being questioned why
2. the waves i will miss during the fall and spring when it's way cold to have beach trips
3. laughing at cutesy stupid stuff on the internet at early morning hours
4. the feeling of having the hot sun beat on your back and having it feel good against the cool sudden breezes
5. discovering COFFEE 

this has been the last summer before highschool ends (how did i ever get to this point?)anyway it was so much fun! i'm super sad to leave the days of waking up at whatever time, doing whatever i felt like and no really paying attention to when or how the day ended. 
starting thursday, its back to work...hah. 

SENIOR YEAR BABY! ahhh i'm VERY excited beyyyooond reason. 

besides testing again (SAT scores + me = O__O ), filling out applications and writing so many FUN essays with my billions of hardworking little brain cells this year is going to be awesome & hopefully no drama, good times, happy memories and insane art :)!

Jeffrey Campbell

one of the many things i've enjoyed about this short summer was getting my first pair of Jeffrey Campbell's.

i say first, because after trying on a pair of these mirrored black wedges at a store in La Jolla, i realized i have an addiction and this addiction will be followed by 1. getting a job and 2. earning enough money to invest in another pair of beautiful pure genius artwork!!!

these shoes are so interesting and not just because of the insane heel height, but because of their overall architectural structure and true comfort that wearing fabulous shoes brings to mind.

on a side note, senior year begins thursday...i'm still in shock, because that means college will be starting before i know it, the only question that remains is....where?

its short and sweet and makes you think of love...which is never a bad thing right?

off to the beach-i promise i will post the art stuff i've been working on as soon as i come back :) in the meantime enjoy whats left of SUMMER!
